FotoFest is an international non-profit photographic arts and education organization based in Houston, Texas.

    He Co-curated the FotoFest Biennial – CHANGING CIRCUMSTANCES, Looking at the Future of the Planet, with FotoFest Co-founders Wendy Watriss and Frederick Baldwin. The FotoFest Biennial is a celebration of photography and photo-related art from across the world, presented in exhibitions across the city of Houston. The Biennial marks the sixteenth consecutive. FotoFest Biennial Meeting Place Reviewers Alison Nordström, PhD Independent Scholar and Curator of Photographs Cambridge, MA, USA Alison Nordström is an independent scholar, specializing in photographs of all kinds. She is known for her writing, speaking, and curating, and for the administration of photographic projects both in the US.

InFotoFest brings international, professional reviewers to meet one-on-one with registered artists. They include museum curators, editors, publishers, gallerists, collectors, and photo agency representatives to review the work of registered artists.

Held in conjunction with the FotoFest Biennialthis symposium brings together leading voices from art, music, theory, and writing for a series of conversations that examine key issues explored by the artists featured in the FotoFest Biennial central exhibition, African Cosmologies: Photography, Time, and the Other.

The symposium is presented in two sessions: a series of. Each of these artists was selected as a particularly significant “discovery” by ten international reviewers chosen from among the curators, editors, publishers, gallery owners, and collectors who reviewed work at the FotoFest Biennial Meeting Place.
